Arris Rails

Arris Rails are used in the construction of traditional Closeboard fencing. Featheredge boards are then fixed to these. 

Flat end Arris Rails can be used with timber posts and joined by Arris Rail brackets.

Ended Arris Rails

Machine ended to allow rails into pre-morticed posts.

Counter Rail & Capping

Generally fixed to the top of a Closeboard fence.

Used as a decorative / protective weather strip for the end grain of Featheredge boards. 

Wall Plates

These are fixed to buildings where foundations inhibit the ability to dig a post into the ground.

Centre stumps / Cleats

Centre stumps are fixed to the bottom centre of the fence bays on the back of the gravel boards and mounted to the bottom of the first arris rail. This supports the part of the bay that withstands the most strain over time and stops the bay bending downwards. Cleats are fixed to timber posts to attach gravel boards, for every post two cleats are needed and they come pre drilled if required.

Palisade

This type of fencing is sometimes known as Wicket fencing and is a traditional cottage style fence.
